Independent - Inclusive - International

LoveReading LitFest is the digitally native, all-year-round books and literature festival dedicated to celebrating good writing and great reading - built to bring wonderful writers straight to you. Plus, it’s free to view.

We are a partnership between the hugely successful team behind www.LoveReading.co.uk and some of the festival professionals that created LockdownLitFest in 2020. What unites us is a passion for books and stories, and an ongoing desire to support authors and readers.

We showcase the very best writing, of all genres, from around the world, through fascinating interviews, panel discussions, MasterClasses, personal recommendations, author readings and more.

Our particular focus is on superb debut writers at the start of their writing careers, world-beating bestselling authors, and award-winning international writers in translation. And there's also our ever-growing - and utterly fabulous - kids and schools programme, including interviews with authors by our incredible Kids Reading Ambassadors.

With an ever-growing library that already features over 100 great events and festival favourites, we currently produce 2 shows a week and continue to build a comprehensive programme that is archived and accessible to you anywhere, at any time.

Do join us on our fascinating literary journey.  Sign up to our fortnightly newsletter here to access all our free events and to keep up with all the news.

From all of us at the LoveReading LitFest team, welcome aboard.

Win a very special box containing a signed copy of

The Translator
by Harriet Crawley

To mark the publication of The Translator by Harriet Crawley, publishers Bitter Lemon Press have kindly donated a very special box which is now up for grabs in our latest competition.  The box contains:

A signed copy of the book
Sunday Times "Book of 2023" postcard with QR code
A sinister looking cable that seems to have been cut
The Translator 3D-printed bookmark
A miniature bottle of vodka, to consume if the tension gets too much.....

The Translator is a taut, highly topical thriller, set in Moscow and centred on a devastating Russian plot to sabotage the undersea communication cables linking the US to the UK. It has been recently chosen by both The Times and The Sunday Times as their ‘Thriller of the Month’ and has been described by Antony Beevor as ‘A classic thriller of the new Cold War’.

Using her insider knowledge, having lived in Moscow for nearly twenty years working in the energy sector at a time of exploding wealth concentration and increasingly violent political repression, Harriet Crawley’s action-packed new book is set in Russia in 2017. It could not be timelier.
